The stories I have selected to compare are The Shunammite by Ines Arredondo who was a Mexican writer and A&P by John Updike, an American writer. Arredondo’s story took place in Sinaloa, Mexico on the other hand Updike’s story took place in a grocery store called A&P. In the story, The Shunammite, Luisa was being sexually objectified by her uncle Polo. While in the story A&P, Sammy was sexually objectifying the three girls especially Queenie.
