Two of the most significant revolutions in world history are the french revolution in the 1790s and then the russian revolution in 1917. Although these revolutions take place hundreds of years away from each other and are even in different places, they have similarities. During the french revolution Louis XIV was in charge and during the russian revolution Nicholos II was in charge. Louis XIV was a bad leader because he believed in divine right. He was a strong- willed leader but he believed that he could make all of the decisions because god gave him this power and no one else could have a say. He did not take anyone's will into consideration and because of this mindset, he was selfish. He would never ask for the parliament's opinion when it came to ruling and that constantly made him fight with them, causing tension. Nicholas II was a bad leader because troubles started almost as soon as he became a leader. There was the revolution of 1905 where there were strikes and revolts. He also promised freedoms like when he started the duma, but then the duma was shortly dissolved because just like Louis, Nichols did not want to listen to anyone else because he was leader, and that led to issues with the government. These similar actions of being selfish and absolute leaders make Louis XIV and Nicholas II bad leaders because when these leaders only had their interest in mind and did not take the country into
