Trujillo vs. Hitler The definition of a dictator is a ruler with complete and absolute power over a country that is usually received forcefully. Adolf Hitler and Rafael Trujillo are two examples of powerful dictators that impacted their country immensely. During their reins of power, German and Dominican people were abused, manipulated, and many were killed. Hitler and Trujillo have several similarities on how they dictated; although, the ways in which they chose to use their power differed.

The play The Crucible written by Arthur Miller, is a story that takes place in Salem during the time when witches were real. The story of these people accusing each other of witchcraft to cover up their own story of attempting witchcraft which leads to innocent people being hanged for something they are not. Those people would rather die than to lie about confessing they have been with the Devil, because only cowards lie and the brave keep to the truth till the end. John Proctor’s wife Elizabeth is accused of witchcraft by Abigail. Because John rejected
They were also put to death for false accusations.(Miller) Therefore what they were accused of they got punished for. The Salem witch trials made people lose respect for others(THE HOLOCAUST). If u were accused u where hated(THE HOLOCAUST). In the Holocaust all of Germany lost respect for jews,Just because Hitler accused them of being the reason for war(THE HOLOCAUST).

Most people have never heard of an event more corrupt than the Salem Witch Trials, or one more devastating than the Holocaust. The Salem Witch Trials and the Holocaust are very similar in many ways. Klarra Lee English 9H Paul Hughes November 19, 2017 World War Two, the Bible, and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, written by C. S. Lewis, is about the adventures of four children in a world called Narnia, which is a place inside a wardrobe. In Narnia, the children meet a lion, named Aslan, and fight the White Witch, who calls herself the Queen of Narnia. The context of World War Two and the representation of the biblical imagery in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, is closely connected to each other. The background of the book and the time period in which the book was written, are both during the time period of World War Two.
This is why no one spoke up because of the fear that they would be charged with witchcraft and hang. Another example is, “Hitler gave the Gestapo complete control which meant individuals lost the right to privacy and officials could read people's mail, listen in on telephone conversations, and search private homes without a warrant.” (GCSE History). Since no one had any privacy they were scared to speak out things about Hitler in fear that they would be sent to death camp. Just like how in the crucible if they spoke out against the trails they would be charged with witchcraft and hung.
Adolf Hitler preached his beliefs that Germans were the superior race and that all other races were inferior to Germans. This caused the attack on anyone except Germans themselves. Germany had begun war with the world due to their feeling of superiority. This caused the change for the world in a sense.
Also, the witch waited for someone to kill her and wouldn’t give up in fear and kill herself. But Hitler was terrified of failure, and killed himself immediately. Hitler was a real historical person, but the witch is just a made up person, written on rough paper. The white witch and Adolf Hitler are perfect to compare and contrast.
The Salem Witch Trials can be compared to many historical events around the world. The Holocaust is one of the most compared events to the Salem Witch Trials. These events are brought together by the facts that both of them were tragic and people died horrifically. Neither of these events were handled in a way that was beneficial for their economies. The Holocaust is a modern day “Witch Hunt” that relates to the Salem Witch Trials due to instinctual prejudice and mass hysteria, but differs in religion and the scale of the executions.
Hitler always had a deep desire for power. When Germany was in an economy a political crisis, Hitler saw this advantage for him. Aldof Hitler was short-tempered, strict and brutal.
