How was Abigail Williams and Joseph McCarthy motives alike? What did they believe was right?Abigail Williams from the play The Crucible was an important character. She had many beliefs, motives and a very selfish behavior. On the other hand Joseph McCarthy from Good Night and Good Luck had some similarities with Abigail but not all are the same. That way is more obvious to people believe what she is saying is true. She never wants to take responsibility of her own actions and that's another reason why she lies and makes people lie just because she wants to be covered. Abigail's belief is that she always wants to be right on the choices she makes. She thinks that she has the right to be right and always wants attention. She wants everyone to see her as a good girl. Which she isn’t. All she wants is basically for everyone to be on her side. Abigail wants people to like her. She tried everything to make a good impression, especially to proctor.
