The movie portrayed how football teaches leadership, as well as, high standards for high school football players. Both Civil Disobedience and the Gandhi article are alike based on the fact they both discuss civil disobedience, attending prison, and standing for one’s beliefs. Civil disobedience can be seen as a good thing and a bad thing depending on to what extent one is breaking the laws. Some people may break the law because they feel that it is unfair to them but others break the for the simple fact of doing what they want in order for it to benefit themselves. Laws are meant for the majority which means even if they are not pertaining to certain citizens. Thoreau targeted laws that pertained to him, Gandhi went on strike for the better of his country and people.
Empathy Belly Project I underwent several discomforts and sensations while doing the empathy belly project. One of which was restricted breathing caused by the tightness of the belly which wasn’t enjoyable. Also the baby’s “feet” were sticking into my ribs, creating irritation when I walked or moved around a lot. I felt more fatigue with the belly on than I normally do since I exerted more energy trying to do everyday things thanks to the extra weight and figure. While buttoning my jacket and tying my shoes, I felt a little annoyed because it was more difficult to do than I thought it would be since I couldn’t look over my stomach.

A fundamental component of military leaders is the leader character, “moral and ethical qualities that help one determine what is right and to do what is appropriate” (Shriberg, 2011, p. 228). There are seven principles that guide the military and Boone which helps him reach his ultimate goal of inclusion, not just winning football games.
Civil Disobedience by Thoreau is the refusal to obey government demands or commands and nonresistance to consequent arrest and punishment this had an extreme effect on Martin Luther King Jr and Mahatma Gandhi. They were fighting for different beliefs. However they both had the same believes about civil disobedience and they both end in the same place, jail. In the first place Gandhi believed that the only way to confronted injustice was with non-violent methods.
Boone’s leadership throughout camp never waivers. He uses a series of skills to motivate the team and inspire the minds of his players.

However, by the end of the film, we see characters gradually changing their behavior as they gain knowledge of others different than them. Two situations that describe this is the interactions between Coach Yoast and Coach Boone, as well as Julius Campbell and Gerry Bertier. To further explain, at the start of the film Coach Yoast is extremely undermining of Boones authority when he first starts as the new head football coach. Both are exceptionally talented in their field, however Yoast feels his white players are superior to the black players, whereas Boone is devoted to putting aside the injustices regarding the different races, to lead the team to victory and teach valuable lessons to his players. The two butt heads due to racial prejudice when it comes to coaching styles and how to coach the team to victory.
