We have recently found out that in the past, the Greeks have had very similar gods and beliefs as us Romans. Although most of us believe they were initially the Romans possessions, we begin to question our knowledge. We have found evidence and signs that many things could have been stolen, or borrowed from the Greek civilization.

There are many similarities between Roman gods and Greek gods that we can analyze today with the information we have. The leader of all gods, for the Romans, is Jupiter. The leader of Greek gods was Zeus. They are both sky gods that can throw lighting bolts. The god of the sea was referred to as Neptune for the Romans, but as Poseidon to the Greeks.
