“The Four Freedoms” speech by Franklin Roosevelt and “ Inaugural Address” by John Kennedy are both presented during a crucial time. In “The Four Freedoms” speech Franklin Roosevelt shows urgency on the stockpiling of weapons . However, in the “Inaugural Address” John Kennedy states how there needs to be more of a peaceful approach on the stockpiling of weapons. “ The Four Freedoms” speech took place during the World War II era. It took place during the time that Franklin D. Roosevelt was in office. During this time he was insisting that we should stockpile weapons. Also, during this time it seemed as if the union address was the best way to accomplish he thought of stockpiling weapons. In this passage it talks about how there are certain freedoms that everyone should deserve to have. In this passage it states. “ The first freedom is the freedom of perch and expression, the second is the freedom of every person to worship God in his own way, the third freedom is, the freedom from want, the final freedom is the freedom from fear.” These different freedoms show that we should be able to do what we do and not have to worry about what other people think.
