Do you think someone can ever change or even have the strength to do so? I read a story where the main character does something wrong. When he got caught, the unintentional victim teaches him a lesson and lets him go. Instead of doing what most people commonly do. One more thing that was different about the situation that she did was that she believed that he could change, leading to both her and his future actions. Also, I read the lyrics to a song where the narrator shows that they have learned to believe from pain, which shares a similar theme with the story but is expressed differently. “Thank You, Ma’m” by Langston Hughes and “Believer,” by Imagine Dragons from the Album “Evolve”. She gave him the 10 dollars even though she had …show more content…

People mistreated him because of that, it caused him great agony, and he kept it in. As he felt more pain either physically or mentally or it grew larger he became a strong-minded person and he believed that his survival was not impossible, since she already survived through so much. His confidence in himself grew to a great degree. It would be easier for him go through more torture because he knows how it feels and how much worse can it get. In the song it also says, “I was choking in the crowd, Living my brain up in the cloud, Falling like ashes to the ground, Hoping my feelings, they would drown, But they never did, ever lived, ebbing and
