How do “The Wave” and “Diary of Anne Frank” relate to the theme of mass conformity under one power? As in the wave, Ben Ross the history teacher wanted to make an experiment to the same thing with the students, as they all got caught up and were doing the same thing as Hitler and the Germans. As in the Diary of Anne Frank it was all about what happened during the Holocaust and how the Jews were treated along with everything, as they were afraid to get punished. Which is similar to the Nazis, to demand the mass of the rules of Hitler. There are always people who won't or will confirm what there is to demand. Like Laurie Saunders in the Wave and Anne was in the dominant institution. Laurie Saunders was disagreeing with participating in the experiment because students were acting how the Germans did. Ben Ross had taught them what they did and how they acted. Students don't exactly know what was happening, they just found it interesting so they agreed to do the experiment. Laurie thought Mr. ross was taking the experiment too long and she disagreed with what he was doing.
