Who do I think is a person who helps to alleviate human suffering? I think Sister Maureen Ouma, a religion teacher at Saint John Neumann Catholic School and Church, is a very inspiring person who teaches you to follow your faith and follow the faith of God. Let me tell you more about Sister Maureen Ouma.

Why did I pick Sr. Maureen? Sr. Maureen deeply explains the message of God in His word. She told me that every year, she has eighth graders for religion, she always learns something new about them. When I told her that I was adopted, she was confused. She told the other sisters this couldn 't be and would have never have thought that I was adopted. She has a bright light inside of her that nobody can copy. Since the hurricane, she has prayed for the victims and many others. We pray in her class every day for those people. Also she sets a great example during mass and pays attention to what is going on in mass. She is an amazing role model and is the most wonderful person I know and she is definitely helping to alleviate human suffering.

Sister Maureen, as I said before, is a very inspiring person because this woman follows the word of the Lord and teaches us and shows us how to be closer to God and grow in our faith. She teaches us about services we can do around our local community and/or around our country. Such as working at a food pantry, visiting a nursing home, and/or having a canned food drive at our school. Sr. Maureen also shows other people how to be closer to God, how to reflect on His word and perform His word in everyday random acts of kindness.
