Hattie Big Sky Hattie Big Sky is about a sixteen year old girl who receives a letter from her late uncle that says that he has a homestead in Minnesota for her. Hattie agrees to move so she can finally stop being Hattie Here-and-There, and start being herself with a place she can finally call home. The anecdote is about what happens when she is living on the claim. Kirby Larson transcribed Hattie Big Sky, which Larson based off of her great-grandmother’s claim out west. Hattie has rough times in Montana, however, Hattie earns friends and gives it her all.
The most thought-provoking book I read this summer was The Hot Zone by Richard Preston. Not only is this book fast paced keeping you with the urge to read but it also focuses on real events leaving the reader to wonder why it is said that history repeats itself. I chose this book to focus on because of the close connection the story seemed to hold to recent events in history. The Ebola outbreak was the center of the media’s attention recently because of all the harm it caused in Africa and the fact that a virus could be so destructive, managing a large scale outbreak, is a massive threat to life as we know it. My reason for taking AP World History was really quite simple.
The memorable day in my life is when I started Detroit Job Corps. I was nervous and happy at the same time. When I woke up that day my stomach had butterflies in it, and I was sweating like it was summer time. My face felt hot, like I was going to pass out. My mother cooked a huge breakfast for me.
My favorite memory with my mom is when we took a cruise the day after christmas. It was my favorite time with my mom because I got to spend a lot of time with her. On the cruise we got off at a stop in the bahamas and we got to stop at a bunch of different shops. Then we stopped at a beach and we swam and scuba dived and hung out on the beach. We got to spend a lot of time with each other without or phones distracting us.
The day I had knee surgery. On February 14th my mother woke me up with a smile on her face to lighten the mood a little, because the next morning would be the day that I would have my first surgery ever. I was really clam in the morning like any other day. It really didn 't hit me that I would have surgery

It was two months before my fifth grade graduation and three years from my parents divorce. Little did I know the news my mom told me that day would change my life forever. Tears came down my face when she told me we were going to be moving to New Jersey. At this moment I was feeling very confused and startled. Not only was I upset because I was leaving a place I have called home for eight years, but because I was leaving my friends and most importantly my dad and brother.
People thought that the north star was the brightest star in the universe. When we had slavery the slaves would follow the north star which was quite noticeable, considering people thought it was the brightest. Although, people may have gotten the North Star confused with other stars, people still believed it was the brightest. People believed that the north star was the brightest star because they got it confused with the dog star, (Alpha Canis Majoris). Stars have different magnitudes, so if the north star had a magnitude of below -1 it would be brightest then a star with a magnitude of above 0.

Grief is a difficult subject to write about. Especially when wanting to write about the life of a teenage girl after her sister 's death. Jandy Nelson, author of The Sky is Everywhere, tells a heartbreaking story about life after death. Unlike many young adult novels, The Sky is Everywhere talks about serious problems that many teenagers face. Nelson crafts a perfect story that is inspiring and tragic.
One of the best days of my life was when we went deer hunting in South Dakota with my dad, brother, uncle and two cousins, but before I tell you about my trip let me tell you how it started. We left early in the morning to head to South Dakota where my cousin Jacob, who had just got a job as Game warden in Custer State Park, was taking us deer hunting. We got as far as Fargo, North Dakota when my cousin Keith asked my dad where our license were. Then to our surprise we forgot them back at home. We were lucky enough to have my two aunts and mom bring us the license because they were going to Fargo that day anyways for a girls shopping day.
It was the final day of the trip my seventh Birthday the first thing that happened was when my parents told me that they were getting married I was so excited as well as shocked. Then my parents gave me a Brett Favre number four Vikings jersey it was awesome and even better my step dad got a matching

It all started on a summer day, I went to nags head beach with my family. We got a big beach house with my whole family and a few friends. This was about 4 years but it feels like it was just the other day. We went at the very end of the summer. It was still nice and warm outside.
A memorable day I my life is when I first found out I was a diabetic. I was scared and didn’t really understand what was happening. I was too sick, and for the most part out of my mind.
