As I mentioned before the direct correlation between Clayton and Jonno is almost identical. They shared minuscule moments in which they construct small bonds which helps express my argument as they both strive for the same outcome to become a viral success and attract an audience. With their each of their unique and individual art form we see Clayton and Jonno trying to invoke the brokenness of Detroit through their work of art as stated in this quote “Against the decaying backdrop of present-day Detroit, a series of horrific crimes appear to be the work of a twisted serial killer. But layered onto the story is a cynical look at the future of journalism and a big dollop of the supernatural.”
In the 1960’s, Detroit was the fourth wealthiest city in the United States. However, on July 18, 2013, Detroit became the largest city to file for chapter 9 bankruptcy. This historical booming “arsenal city for democracy” has transformed into “empty apartment buildings, factories consumed the landscape and vacant homes”. Detroit’s census data has shown that twenty-five percent of the population has declined over the last decade. (Moreland, James. "
The topic I have decided to address is one of the numerous political problems that we as a nation face and their concerns must be addressed. This issue started with the House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) and Republican Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) are asking President Obama to force Congress to cut wasteful Washington spending and pledging bipartisan support for this critical effort. In a letter to the President, the GOP leaders ask him to invoke his authority under the Impoundment Control Act of 1974 to submit specific proposals rescinding spending already in place. Currently now President Obama is calling for wasteful and ineffective programs to be placed on the chopping block in order for the revising of the United States Spending
The day I had knee surgery. On February 14th my mother woke me up with a smile on her face to lighten the mood a little, because the next morning would be the day that I would have my first surgery ever. I was really clam in the morning like any other day. It really didn 't hit me that I would have surgery
Detroit Experience Paper Being immersed into the inner city is something not only urban ministry majors should experience, but all Christ followers. The many things we experienced during the weekend taught me a lot and helped further prepare me for my own ministry in an urban setting. Experiences such as the charter school, Beast of the Beats, CDC, talking to a homosexual pastor, and Tabernacle Revival Church made me feel a wide mix of emotions. Many times during the trip I felt so confirmed that this is I am suppose to focus my work for the Lord. On the contrary, there were times I wondered what I am getting myself into.
I was fascinated by the way she recalled her memories, but I was truly mesmerized by the spark in her eyes and the smile on her glowing face as she told her stories. I knew she truly loved her job, and I yearned for the same experiences that would allow me to find my “dream job.”
I remember how amazed I was when we won the battle in Trenton. That was a day that will always be remembered. I never knew how much the Boston Tea Party in 1773 would impact my live today. I was so happy when I got word in 1776, that the Declaration of Independence had been written by Thomas Jefferson. I also remember having to leave my family to fight in the war.
Over the last four years, my life has been a whirlwind full of countless events. Events that have resulted in fantastic memories and others that will alway be painful to think about. My two out of state trips that I attended with the baseball team automatically stand out. During sophomore year, being about to play baseball in Florida was amazing. There are many reasons that this will be the trip I remember from high school.
The most memorable day in my life was me sitting in the courtroom of Alabama Family Courthouse I feel the walls closing in on me, when the judge calls for the next case. I was married for 13 years and have 3 children. After years of trying at my marriage it fell apart and was soon divorced. I was in court today for their 3 year review of child support. I left Alabama because there was no work there for my industry and moved to Texas.
In the summer of 2012, was when I was leaving for Virginia. A lot had happened in the previous months before this moment. Things such as my mom getting a new car, getting a new dog, my mom having a heart attack, and so on. Over everything that was happening, the biggest thing was moving across country from Arizona. Although, the hardest part for me was leaving my dad behind.
One of my best days was when my soccer team won the championship. I won several other championships ,but with other teams. This was my first season playing with this team. The major characters in this event were me, my teammates, my coaches and the parents. This event took place in a park at sanger during the summer.
I can still remember like it was yesterday the day my son was born. The feelings leading up to the day he was born were the most nerve racking days of my life. On August 27th 2015 me and my wife sat at home expecting the our son any moment. My mother was also with us and was there to help us after the baby was born. As the day went by the house filed with boredom and the feeling of nervousness, and outside being gray and rainy I knew that it wasn 't a beach day.
A memorable day I my life is when I first found out I was a diabetic. I was scared and didn’t really understand what was happening. I was too sick, and for the most part out of my mind. But, what I do remember is a lot of pain and a few visitors. It wasn’t the best day and I don’t remember every detail.
