Slavery Was not the only reason the civil war came to be there was multiple reasons , The civil war is a very big topic when it comes to U.S history It shows the way that one Country can become divided with one argument "A house divided against itself cannot stand." is one of the biggest cuts in our history for this reason only it shows that we have to compromise, her are the reasons . I hear people talk about slavery when they talk about the civil war but there is more reasons than that for example Uncle tom's cabin is a huge part of the war it showed the north about slavery life, another big example is the Harper's ferry boat raid were a crazy man John Brown took his sons and black people to raid the fairy Brown was hanged after this incident, the final thing i want to talk about is the Dred Scott Decision this is where a slave tries to get his freedom when his owner dies but the court ruled that he was a PIECE OF PROPERTY so he can not try for his own freedom these are big things that the civil war occurred . …show more content…

This book made the northerners mad,but why? They were mad Because people should not be treated like this for no reason at all, just because they are a Negro does not mean they can be treated differently, didn't the constitution say all men are created equal. This made the southerners mad also because the southerners did not want people thinking that slaves are treated like that they wanted them to believe that slaves were treated equally, but then Uncle Tom's Cabin came along and changed everything for the slaves and their way of life.
