Imagine your purse or wallet being lighter and the nation saving millions because of a certain change. This change, of course, is that pennies have stopped being minted. The passages, “Penny Wise, or 2.4 Cents Foolish”, by Jeff Sommer, “Give a Penny-Save the Day!”, by Ted Waterhouse, and “The Ever-Changing Penny”, by Maria Story, all show different sides and facts of a debate about pennies and whether we should keep them or not. “Penny Wise, or 2.4 Cents Foolish” tells the reader about the Canadian government and how they are not producing the penny anymore. It also talks about what could happen if the penny went away in the United States and how other coins such as the nickel cost more to make than they are worth too.

In the novel Whirligig, by Paul Fleischman, is a novel about Brent a teenage boy who only really cares about being popular who decides to take his life while driving home from a party but instead he takes Lea Zamora’s life and as punishment Lea’s mother asks Brent to build a whirligig representing Lea at every corner and we see interleaving chapters with people coming across the whirligigs and how their lives have changed because of them. In the important event of Brent killing Lea in a car crash we see a positive effect and consequences on Brent because of this event showing the key idea that all actions have consequences. The positive effects being Brent Learning that we never know who we really are until we step away from other influences around us, that in the journey of life we’ll go through rough patches however it’s how we get out of them that counts and that
Lois Gunden Lois Gunden is was declared righteous among the nations. Lois did many amazing things during World War 2. Lois Gunden was an American French teacher from Goshen, Indiana. In 1941, she did all she could to rescue children. At 26 Lois Gunden joined The Secours Mennonite aux Enfants.
First off a Tiger shark will eat Starbuck. The first reason why I think a Tiger shark will eat Starbuck is because the Tiger shark has eaten other animals and people so far. As the text states, “And the shark was there again, all teeth and fury. With one bite, the rest of the seal was gone” (Bodeen 161). This quote shows that the Tiger shark is an extremely vicious animal that kills numerous innocent beings.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, about 43.6 million of Americans live in poverty in the United States. There are many opportunities these days for Americans to get out of poverty including a job. Earning any job can help find a better job placement and learn job skills as oppose to unemployment. Doing well in a job can help allude employers give a better job to an employee. Many employers will look at work ethics within employees and if the credentials—amount of jobs, hours, and dedication put into—is sufficient, then the employer would move the employee to a better working place.
If you move fast enough, you can kill silverfish by smashing them before it reaches another hiding place. You can usually bet that if you see one silverfish he has buddies waiting to come out and feast at night. The
America needs to stop using the penny. Every year the U.S. wastes around 55 million dollars on making pennies. They are harmful to the environment. Cost more to make then they are worth. So the U.S. needs to stop using them.

Throughout history different events have occurred that were considered immoral or inhuman, yet, the people committing to these activities were unaware of the situation itself and in their minds, were justified in their actions. This is also true when discussing slavery; pro-slavists defend slavery, arguing that slavery has existed since the pre-biblical era and it was the nature of mankind to have this hierarchy organize the modern world. Historical, pro-slavists argue that slavery has always existed additionally, they argue that slavery was God-ordained and therefore natural. Initially, historical justification is defined as always existing which in this case is true dating back to the “ancient republics of Greece and Rome and the great European empires” described by Foner (Foner, 406). The Little Rock Nine were to be the first African American students to enter Little Rock’s Central high school. In 1957, nine ordinary teenagers walked out of their home and stepped up to the front lines in the battle for civil rights for all Americans. I chose this topic because racism and segregation are something very important to me. Everyone no matter what color or nationality you are, should be treated with respect and should never be seen as unequal or unimportant. Everyone deserves kindness and should never have to tolerate disrespect in the first place.

March of Dimes When we had to decide about what organization we wanted to do our report on, I was very excited to discover that March of Dimes was on the list. I have always been a large supporter of this organization. One of the reasons that I love it was because I was born a month and a half early. I have always loved the work that they do for premature babies.
Bass are a predatory fish, this means that they have to eat other living animals to survive. To hunt, bass will hide in structure, such as a submerged log, or some grass and ambush their prey. When their prey swims by the fish will swim out quickly and eat the food. Bass will eat anything that swims, they will eat minnows, crawfish, frogs,worms and even mice and ducklings that fall into the water. Bass will also eat other fish and sometimes lizards that fall into the water.
