Even though Sylvia Plath is a unique writer there isn't anyone who she can be compared to. There isn't anyone that expresses their pain with poetry like Sylvia Plath did. However, in class we discussed another form of art in which Tupac describes his pain and struggles with his music, which is another form of art. His song titled “ So many tears” has many lyrics that Sylvia Plath can relate to. In his first line he says “I shall fear no man but God”. Another lyric that can relate Sylvia Plath with Tupac is “Now I'm lost and I’m weary, so many tears, I’’m suicidal so don’t stand near me”. “This ain’t the life for me, I wanna change, but ain’t no future right for me, I’m stuck in the game, I’m trapped inside a maze”. Both Tupac and Sylvia Plath felt trapped and wanted to escape. Tupac ends his song with the lyric, “Bring me closer to embrace an early death”. He doesn't like the way he was living, just like Sylvia Plath he lived everyday hoping the next would be better than the last. One of the main reasons Sylvia Plath suffered so much is because we had high expectations of what life would be like once she married Ted. She didn't expect her marriage to be the way it was, she felt trapped and never mentioned her feelings to anyone, nobody was there for her. The only way she could express her feeling was through her poems. The poems were her escape and she knew she wanted more
