Recommended: An essay on the concept of social justice

2. Proposal for a social justice organization/ministry. The student will develop some organization/ministry that addresses some element of social justice. Ideas might include human trafficking, human rights, immigration/refugees, health care, pandemics, incarceration, pollution, economic inequality, poverty, education, etc. a. What is the nature and extent of the problem?

UNHCR is the branch of United Nation, which is responsible for refugee around the world. It stands for United Nations Human Rights Council. The current nature state that “impartiality and objectivity are of paramount importance when selecting mandate-holders.” The problem with this nature is that there will be many biases and people who are really in need for getting …show more content…

Why did you select this particular topic?

I was a refugee before, I understand how difficult it is to not have a home, worry about where to live, food, how to find a job in the country that allow you to stay there. When you see police, you run away fearing that they will send you back you your country or put you into jail even without breaking any law. Also when you get your resettlement, the UNHCR does not warn you of the things that you will come across when arriving to this new country. I want to help my fellow refugees because I understand their struggles.

g. Which view of social justice might best inform your social justice organization? Why?
The social justice that best describe my organization is distributive justice because I try to provide “fair allocation of resources” such as mandates which give the refugee the permission to work hard in the new country that they are at, get education which the key to success in life. Overall, by having the mandate, they will be able to get all the resources that they need to better their own lives.

They are helping the needy and vulnerable people all over the world. Therefore, their main goal is to share the good news of Jesus to everyone and help the needy in whatever, way that they can.
