For my research project I chose a topic related to social media. Social media has always been an interest of mine and I have always been interested in how people get so caught up with the craze and how they have let it affect them. Since I have never been so attached to social media I thought it would benefit me in being able to experience how some people have been affected. At first I chose “the effects of social media on teenagers / young adults” however once researching I found that my topic was too broad and that I had to refine it. I then chose to research “how does cyber bullying on social media affect teenagers/ young adults”. I found that this research question was more reasonable because it was well worded and more refined but wasn’t to closed so that I was still able to conduct a reasonable amount of research. My outcome was in the form of a report and an A5 sized flyer/poster explaining what cyber bullying is, what forms it comes in and where people can go for help. (185 words)

I found this to be another difficulty I faced and it again was very difficult to find willing interviewees because of my topic being very personal and a sensitive area to talk about. I did find that most of the people that I asked felt uncomfortable in telling me their feelings.
