To get kids that don’t participate in social media the knowledge of the event, I hung up posters. I hung up the posters provided to me from the Red Cross in the locker area, down the hallways, and on the windows of the entrance doors at the school. I did this so every student could see them as they go to throughout their day. However, the posters sent to me were not eye catching. So, I came up with catchy slogans about the blood drive created a poster and hung them up throughout the school. I made them on neon poster board so you could see them from a distance. There were five posters each with a different slogan. These posters along with decorating a billboard really helped get people’s attention. On November, 17 I attended a FFA meeting and presented my senior project to them. I was in need of students to help with the day of my project and they were enough to help me. I had five different positions that needed to be filled and they were split into eight different shifts giving student a break to attend their classes.
I made the deadline for registration forms on November 22. This gave me time to make laminated time cards for each patient that is donating and finalize the appointment sheet.
As my appointment sheet began to fill up and the date started to get closer, I decided to reach out to the community. The only downside to reaching out to the community was that they were having a blood drive the day before mine. I decided to go out on a limb and called some of the
