Prisoners in concentration camps had levels of social status. There were people with high social status. They were able to do more pleasant jobs. They worked mostly inside the buildings. The people with low social status, they were given harsh and cruel jobs. They worked mostly in factories, mines, construction, and many other jobs that were assigned by the Nazis. The ones who high social status, were also lucky because they worked in a position where they can steal or sneak food and clothing to survive the harsh or severe weather.
