Basketball games would be boring because everyone would have the same basketball IQ, unlike in today's basketball games where everyone has different IQs or styles of playing the game. This pertains to the story because of characters like George who have to wear a handicap to bring them back to a normal level of intelligence, so if todays basketball players had to wear those handicaps while playing you could see players missing shots and making simple mistakes that todays basketball player don’t usually make. Also in 2081 people with more athleticism have to wear some sort of heavy weights, and the characters like the dancers in the story have to wear weights around the waist to prevent them of being to good.
