Although some books are fictional, people commonly compare their lives to the main characters, aiming to find a connection from their life to the characters. In this book, I am comparing my life to a character named Solveig. The first thing is, we live in different areas. Solveig lives on an Icey fjord in Norway, meanwhile I live in a subdivision in Canada. Solveig's family is royal, with her dad as the king but my family is middleclass. Finally, in the story Solveig and I are both the same age, proving that him and I share some things in common, such as our responsibility's. Even though Solveig and I were born in different time periods, we are similar because of our age, and different because of our area of settlement and our family.

First, Solveig has a royal family, so her dad is the king of their land and everyone must follow what he does. On the other hand, my family is normal and only I have to listen to what he says because he is not in charge of anyone. This means that everyone must follow what solving says because she is the king's daughter and has more authority than I do. Another way our families are different is the wealth of our family's. My family is wealthy and has money to afford things and survive but Solveig's is very rich because her dad is the king and rules everyone. Even though they can't have the things that I have now because of the time period this book took place, at their time they can afford things people couldn't like food and clothes. And lastly, our families are both from different places. Solveig's family is from Norway because there are big mountains and fjords there and also her name and the rest of the names in the book are not names we would use in Canada. My family is form Portugal and Canada so there are no kings and queens. Also, my last name originates in Portugal. These are the ways my and Solveig's families are
