People are born into this world, live for a few years, and then die and everyone moves on with their lives. While this may seem a little harsh, it's simply the truth. Some people are remembered after they die such as people like Marilyn Monroe, or Abraham Lincoln. They made an impact on the lives of many people, and people even strived to be like them. Other simple human beings, or the average person, often aren't remembered by many people but people who were apart of their lives and had an impact on. When I was young my mother and I lived with my grandma and she helped to support and raise me. Eventually my mother had found her own house, but at the time was working extremely long hours and had to drive to Thermopolis everyday. For this reason I stayed living with my grandma because I was too young to get myself up and ready for school. Everyday for about twelve years my grandma raised me, took me to school everyday, made sure I always had a hot meal for dinner, and much more. Without her my mother and I would have been lead onto a road of complete chaos and struggle. Without her I would not have been raised in a comfortable setting that all children deserve to grow up in. The saying she could never hurt a fly really applies to the life of my grandma. My grandma was always helping someone out, whether it was me and my mother, or random people on the street. There were many times when she would give people extra cash at the store because they could not afford all the groceries they had on the counter. Often times my mother struggled with money, and needed help, my grandmother never second guessed the idea and always helped out my mother. If there was any situation she could help in, she was always the first in line to help. Often times I try to be as genuine as she was, but at times I fail. It amazes me on how kind and genuine she was to people, because no matter how hard I try, I always fall short in being kind. My grandma is important to not only me, but all people who she helped out because of how kind and caring of a woman she was. In conclusion, everyone has someone that has passed away that was important to them for different reasons. My grandma was important to me because through my childhood she showed me what love and respect should look like. She showed me what ambition looks like and gave me an amazing example of how I should live my life. Nobody in my life has had the impact that she did. Everyday I look back and remember the amazing things she accomplished in her lifetime and make it my goal to
