The two dynasties believed in two different forms of religion. Another difference is their technological advancements. Technology was used differently in each empire. Finally, the Gupta’s and the Qin had similar politics and government.
Politically, both governments were corrupt. Not always in the same ways, but in the ways that they were similar, it was bloody and dark. In the Han Dynasty and the Roman Empire, political figures were power hungry and ruthless to get what they wanted. In the Roman Empire, General Marius was elected consul 7 times in a row. General Marius was a valuable general but not a noble politician.
Comparing the Han Dynasty and Roman Empire The Han Dynasty and Roman Empire in the Classical Period were similar in their downfall and advances, but differed politically. The Roman Empire gradually fell for many different reasons. In the same way, the downfall of the Han Dynasty was caused by a multitude of factors, many of these being the same as the Roman’s. Just as the Roman Empire was hurt by the number of nomadic invasions, so was the Han.
Qin Dynasty: The Qin Dynasty endured fifteen years before its collapse. From 221 to 206 B.C.E., Shihuangdi ruled the dynasty under Legalism, and believed that when the people follow the laws, the country will become strong. The bronze and iron industries were growing during this time period, as well as large agricultural output. The population of the Chinese Empire was at its largest. The Qin Dynasty had some instability regarding landownership.
The Qin and Han dynasty had the same social classes due to confucianism. It can be described as a sophisticated and vague for each class. It was a 4 tiered system that consists of Emperor/Government, Peasants, Artisans and Merchants (Higher class to lower class). The Emperor was the head of the whole pyramid, no one could address him, nor the empress by their first name or they would face punishment.
The Mongols in China, and the Mongols in Persia were similar and different in multiple ways. The Mongols in China and Persia were similar in the way that the Mongols treated the non-Mongols, the role of the non-Mongols, and what led to the collapse of the Mongols. The difference between the two is how the Mongols took over the area, the restrictions on non-Mongols, and the results of non-Mongols in the area. However, even with all this, Han China still fell, thanks to opposing forces in the form of nomadic tribes, several natural disasters that were interpreted as angry messages from the gods, and internal/political unrest. The Han Dynasty in China and the Roman Empire shared many similarities and differences when it came to political rule and the nature of their political authority. The most significant difference between the two is how the Han dynasty enacted policies that were shaped to counter the wrongdoings of the previous Qin dynasty, whereas the Roman Empire enacted policies shaped to create and promote peace and stability. The difference in the two empire’s coming to power was to account for their variance in political rule. After the Qin dynasty, the Han ruled China for four centuries, enacting numerous political changes and governing one of the most efficacious dynasties in Chinese history.

The developments in trade, foreign relations, and building expansive building projects in the Qin and Han Dynasties effected the design of every dynasty
Japan’s Tokugawa (or Edo) period, lasted from 1603 to 1867. This was the final era of the traditional Japanese government before the modern era. The Qin dynasty lasted from 221-206BC. Thought it was brief, it was very important in Chinese history. The main weakness of the Tokugawa was an internal crisis and Western intrusion.
Both of these dynasties are very similar, especially the fact that both were culturally rich and known to be “Golden Ages” in Chinese history. Both of these dynasties saw many advances in technology, with the invention of the compass and paper. Trade with other countries was a major occurrence during both the Han and Song Dynasty. Another factor that connects these two dynasties is the fact that they both use a common written language for those who were educated. The examination taken in order to receive a government position that was started during the Han Dynasty was also used during the Song Dynasty, so that people born into class were not automatically given government positions, but those who were intellectual and capable to hold a position were given the opportunity.
