Akon was caught on camera simulating sexual dances with an underage girl, to whom Akon did not know until days later after the incident had occur. The girl at that time was only 15 years old and Akon was 34 years old. The song Sorry, Blame It on Me was released to radio on July 24th, in the year of 2007 in response to sincerely apologize for the embarrassment and any pain that was caused to his family, fans and the young girl/her family!
