Speech About Manifest Destiny

Have you ever been so hungry for land that you accidently set of a war with Mexico when you were just trying to buy their land in the first place? Land in the eighteen hundreds was very valuable and so when you're the president of a country you want your followers to be happy. So with president J Polk being in charge, he sets foot and says a whole speech about “manifest destiny”, which later on results in many things like, Mexico rejecting 30 million dollars for land, General Zachary Taylor leading troops up to the Rio Grande, the Mexican - American war taking place, and the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.

So president James k Polk always did believe in this thing called Manifest Destiny which stood for, let's head westward across the north american continents. By doing so it would allow his american people to expand in a less crowded area. The benefits to expanding there would be great to the american settlers because to begin with they could spread religion, strike and get rich in business, or also just get a fresh start. So like any reasonable president J Polk offers Mexico 30 million dollars

If we look back at everything, all of this could have been avoided if James would have just sent 1 man to talk with Mexico into accepting 30 million dollars and not a whole army. The cause and effects of this was that Mexico lost a lot of land but the beneficial side is that now more americans were able to expand and chase a new reality. Without this event future generals like, President Zachary Taylor, Robert E Lee, and Ulysses S. Grant wouldn't have gotten their inspiration to become the future generals we hear of every now and then.. So I think I rest my case to say that, “ yes the U.S did have the right to attack Mexico for the greater good of the human necessity to be able to expand in new land and grow like a seed on a new
