The fight against gun-violence has been a prevalent issue through time, but over the past few years, a significant amount of revolts have started to emerge from modern day women. For many years, the people fighting these issues were mostly families that had been affected by gun violence. But, along with the improvements in technology, the increase in freedom of speech has also escalated causing more women to have an aptitude for being fearless, marching against major issues such as gun violence. Every year we receive news of mass shootings occurring in schools around the U.S. As moms aspire to see their children prosper in their lives, gun violence is seen as an obstacle against their forsaking future. We see text in many things, from books to movies text makes the intrical point about what is to heard. When it comes to “ENOUGH!” a strong word written in the posters by one of the supporters. If you look closely at it, you see that it is written in all caps with the same colors used for the gun symbol, therefore, the word “ENOUGH!” is directly correlated with and towards the gun, emphasizing that it only cause is pain, which shouldn’t be the case. The most interesting text in this image is the smaller poster located towards the left side of the poster, “ONE million moms 4 gun control” is what it reads. Why is this interesting?, because it tells us that these supporters aren’t just full grown women but mothers, in fact all of them are! It is very fascinating to see that these enthusiastic moms are gathering together fighting against a generic goal. This poster also is very cheekily executed, you can see that instead of “for” the supporter used the number “4” as a smart way of utilizing the poster space. Moreover, the poster also has the word “ONE” in a bigger font than the words underneath it. Why it is is the biggest text on there? It’s because it shows that even though there are a million moms from different ethnicities and different homes marching, they have one goal, one motive and therefore they stand together as one! Key to any textual evidence is way in which it is poised, is it bolded? Does it have a smaller font size?...all these do matter and help define the understanding it wants us to
