Around the 1940’s many people were being discriminated for their race. This was hard, especially for children who had no idea why they were being treated the way they were. All the schools were segregated, so they could not go to the same school as the white children they may have lived near. One school girl was willing to fight, with her family, to go to the same school her white friends went to. She decided, with the help of her dad, to bring the Board of Education to court.
I think it is clear that America’s lenient Gun Laws have no doubt been a huge factor on the staggering amount of gun violence for a long time. I do believe, however, in people’s rights to defend and arm themselves, it is part of their constitution, I just feel that it is necessary that the laws regarding the 2nd amendment need to be reinforced and should introduce some restrictions to ensure that only the people who are mentally capable of wielding a firearm, without causing harm to society, should be allowed to acquire one. I do also recognise that there are already a staggering number of guns in the possession of the general public, and I feel that the only way to tackle this issue is cultural change in America, changing the views of individuals on the idea of guns, but change is always
Due to my passion to help stop gun violence, I decided to do project, on preparing an effective gun violence speech more specifically formulating a speech for President Barack Obama. In this month alone in the United States, we have had more than three counts of mass shooting and of October 21st 2015, there was also another mass shooting in the United States. With so many shooting and death totals, gun violence has because a novelty because everyone citizens, public and the media all have their versions or opinions to the current situation. With gun violence being widespread, there are numerous accesses to information’s regarding gun in general and due to numerous accesses to information’s, the interested party has accesses to either conduct or explore a research.
Good Evening Mr. President first of all I would like to thank you for picking me as your special advisor for the democratic party. Currently in the United States there are countless amounts of issues taking place but, the most important at the moment is the issue on crime and gun violence. Gun violence is a very heavy topic to talk on and there will be numerous people who would love to hear restriction put on guns and then there will be some who would hate gun restriction laws. I have recently read a book by Chris Matthews called Hardball: How Politics Is Played Told By One Who Knows The Game. In this book, Mathews gives several political tips which can help you gain support from the American people on the issue of crime and gun violence.
Gun control has been a controversial issue for many years. Many citizens believe that if gun control is strictly enforced it would reduce the threat of crime. People have the right to bear arms for protection, or even just the pleasure of hunting and recreational activity. With the recent events involving firearms and mass shootings, people are skeptical whether to increase or decrease gun laws. Ever since the inception of this country 240 years ago, guns have been an integral part of the American identity; a sense of lawlessness, individualism, personal autonomy and freedom.
