The cities provide us with parks and they rely on the people to respect and follow the rules in place. often the rules are heeded and there could be a lawsuit waiting to happen because if an encounter were to occur whether its dog vs dog or dog vs victim its rightful for the individual to sue not only the attackers owner but the city as well for not enforcing the law. although this could be factual its also possible that there wouldnt be any attacks and that the dogs could actually get along if provided the space to socialise, exersize and hang out. The issue of dogs noise levels that prevents residents from sleeping as it says in the opposing passage can easily be addressed by setting an appropriate time frame and having the park closed at a reasonable hour. The opposing passage stated that the park is too expensive and that the fence alone is 70,000 dollars and that dog owners shouldnt pressure the city to provide the space they cannot provide themselves.

“No, I Do Not Want to Pet Your Dog” Comprehension: When Manjoo says dogs achieved dominion over urban America, he is not being completely serious but also not sarcastic. He is exaggerating to get his point across, and what he says hold truth in some circumstances. He disapproves that dogs always feel welcome to disturb you and how owners do nothing about it. Manjoo specifically has this problem with dogs because this problem is more typically expressed with them, but he also explains that it happens with children.

Animal rights activists are trying to stop rodeos from “abusing” animals, but they don’t know the extensive care that the animals are given.
A service dog is a type of assistance dog specifically trained to help people who have disabilities. These dogs have helped people for a very long time, but having service dog isn’t perfect. Imagine you are a dog trained to help a disabled person. Would it feel good or bad? Dogs are still dogs, no matter how much they are trained.
Service animals are individually trained to perform tasks and do work that mitigate their handlers’ disabilities. Service animals are much more than highly trained companions. Working as part of a team with their human partners, service animals help them attain the safety and independence from which their handlers’ disabilities would otherwise limit them. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) protects the rights of people with disabilities to be accompanied by their service animals in public places, like businesses, restaurants, grocery stores, hotels, etc.
