Rusty Crowder Period 2 Quarter 2 Commentary #1 The Long Walk by Stephen King Pages 1-25 (Chapter 1) The story starts off with the main character, Raymond Davis Garraty. He is a 16-year-old boy from Maine. The only one competing from Maine, where the long walk takes place, and is supported by big crowds of people.
It provides a profound window into one of the most incredible stories to ever be told. As a reader you feel like a silent member of the family as Jeanette describes the events in such vivid detail and emotion. The raw emotion you feel from the words on a page are amplified tenfold as the movie brings the novel alive. The brilliance from the movie shines in the director’s choice of cuts, shots and music selection. A problem that most books turned novel is that the director tries to make the movie their own as opposed to building the movie on the foundation the book has already provided.

Klosterman Both Stephen King and Chuck Klosterman believe that many people watch horror movies for the thrill and excitement, however Klosterman uses horror movies as a metaphor while King uses horror movies as a sense of relief. Horror movies have always been such a popular genre that people watch. The horror genre is one of the top genres to watch other than comedy and romance. Many people may enjoy horror movies, while many others may not enjoy horror movies.
The story “the body” by Steven king was about four children (Vern-teddy-Chris-Gordy), from (castle rock). Which written by one of them (Gordy). The children were Teddy is the weird and crazy one because his father abuses him, and he always hit him. Chris is strong physically. And Gordy is the one who lead the group with Chris.

Spooky things exist to feed off people’s emotions. People normally view these spooky things using a set rules or scale to judge these type of monsters. This is how people are aware of the situations that they are in. In order to escape this situation, people must think about it to themselves. Due to these situations, people of our community watch horror movies in order to simulate the idea of spooky things for the future.
Stephen King uses multiple literary devices in his novel On Writing to convey the feel of a fictional novel, though it is based on facts from his life. King effectively uses these devices to convey his theme of persevering through adversity to become a greater writer and person. A major technique used in his writing is imagery that comes in many forms, precisely in this passage. There was a sharp smell of alcohol. A clank as the ear doctor opened his sterilizer.
Reading and Writing are Important Stephen King's "Reading to Write" (72) give details about King's methods on becoming a better writer. To become a better writer, you must read a whole heap of books. There are so many other things you can read other than books like magazines, newspapers, labels on food, and papers. As a student in college, I understand Stephen King's methods. Reading and Writing will help me further my college education, and it will help me get to my goal.

In The Body, Gordie, the main character, and his group of friends go on a quest to find Ray Brower. Ray Brower is a young guy who was tragically killed by a train. The friends are able to find Ray’s body because Vern tells what he overheard in his brother’s conversation.
The camera was rotating around her, which built the intensity of the scene and symbolized Katherine’s emotions, that everything was spinning out of control. Spielberg finally ended the movie with a powerful and intriguing cliffhanger which leads to the possibility of a sequel. This film also presented the viewers with a variety of themes. There was strong sense of feminism through Katherine Graham.
The Story has a man daydreaming in his car, while the movie has a man going on a worldwide quest for a negative photo. This intrigues the audiences with a feel for adventure. The movie also Introduces the love interest of Walter, Cheryl. This adds the extra suspense in the movie. This is because the audience doesn't get to know if they get together.

He works at an industrial firm in New York, he is divorced and a father of three de-ceased children.
