1. Stephen King feels that a new reader should read terrible books to become aware of illiterate writing skills. King explains how he felt like a better writer than the man who wrote "Asteroid Miners." He remembers the day in eigth grade when he knew he could write better than the man being paid to write. Now, the affect a reader can have on good writing is a motivation to write without acting self conscious. The reader can read beautiful writing and feel equipped with the knowledge of new writing skills from well taught writers.
2. The necessity to read and write frequently is the motion of practice makes perfect. To become good at something, especially a talent, one must practice skills. Writers know that there are much skills to be learned.
