The Madeira School's all girl production of Into the Woods was packed with strong vocals, clever set pieces, and creative takes on the modern classic musical.

Stephen Sondheim's musical, Into the Woods, first went to Broadway in 1987, it was nominated fr 10 Tony's, and won 3. It closed in 1989 after 765 performances. It is now considered a modern classic and is still pleasing audiences all around the world. The tale follows the tales of Cinderella, Jack, Rapunzel, and a baker and his wife. All four characters brought their own ideas and motivation to the table. It was obvious that the characters were well through and developed by the entire cast, though two that stood out were Jack and the Witch. jack, portrayed by Zoe Crawley, had amazing vocal talent, was high energy and fun, and performed Giants in the Sky with incredible purpose and talent, keeping the audience hooked with every word. The Witch, played by Magana Ngaiza, was very talented, and had over the top character development. Her disposition as the witch turned upside down in the Act One Finale and the change was immediate. Incredibly immersed in the character, her movements, dispositions, singing, and scene work all showed all of the hard work put into the
