Case details Mr Stephen Gilham aged 58 and Mrs Helen Gilham aged 55 and their two sons Christopher aged 25 and Jeffrey aged 23 lived in Woronora. It is a suburb in southern Sydney. Mr and Mrs Gilham and Christopher were murdered in their family house on 28th August 1993 at or around 4am. They were savagely stabbed to death and house was set on fire.
The only clothing on the crime scene had belonged to Jamie, his yellow cloth from his sweater had been all over the crime scene. The detective, Mattie Gunderson had stated that all the evidence did lead to the investigation of Jamie Rogers, which is why the accused had been charged. He then was found sitting next to the yogurt stand and the shirt was found in a trash barrel near the yogurt stand. He then ran away from the security guard but he was in the end caught and brought back to the store to return the shirt. At the trial yesterday the jury came to a verdict of being guilty after talking in the jury room for about 10 minutes.
Trevor Jones Trevor will be charged with manslaughter of the accidental killing of his friend with an illegal gun . Trevor will be sentenced for 90 days of jail time rehabilitating him to rethink his bad choices . Sentenced with custody and supervision for three years to also help his drug and alcohol problems . After his jail time he will have two years of meeting with his probation officer twice a week making sure Trevor is staying clean and making good decisions.

It only took the jury approximately ten hours to deliberate and reach a guilty verdict, however, if the fiber evidence was not presented I do not believe the deliberation would have been so quick and most likely would have resulted in a not guilty
If you were blamed for a crime you didn’t do, would you let that accusation go and let it tarnish your reputation? Would you let it fly by and have others judge from every angle? No, right? Normally people who get accused of crimes demand justice as they know they did not commit the crime and only justice can give them the freedom they deserve. But let’s look at Steve Harmon, the main character from the book Monster by Walter Dean Myers who was on trial for murder.
In regards to the Brent Small case, I personally believe that Mr. Smalls shouldn't be found guilty due to the lack of evidence. Although there was a witness who saw what happened, the evidence isn’t consistent with the case. The vehicle did match the description but the witness was unsure of the license plate and the damage to the vehicle isn’t significant to the crime committed. I don't believe that the evidence is strong enough to convict Mr. Smalls.
This shows that evidence is an important role in pleading someone guilty. When you convict someone of a crime, make sure you know the evidence and information on the case before sentencing
However, this story of Mrs. Stephens being helpless is all the defense has. But how can you, the jury, believe a story from a woman that would lie to doctors, to police,

After many pieces of evidence, the three that are in doubt are the old man hearing “I’m going to kill you!” as well as the weapon of choice and how it was replicated, and finally the woman’s testimony. In my opinion, the boy could have been proven guilty, based on these the boy is not guilty.

There is no proof of any crime, so there should not have been a guilty verdict.

In the novel it focuses on the fact that innocence, represented by the mockingbird, can be wrongfully harmed. There are two characters: Tom Robinson and Arthur “Boo” Radley that are supposed to represent the mockingbird. In the novel, Tom Robinson is the best example of a mockingbird because he is prosecuted for a crime he did not commit. Also, he was judged unfairly based on the color of his skin in his trial.
