The song is a heartfelt expression to couples who’ve listened to this song to enjoy. Stevie wonder preformed this song on stage along with Jim Gilstrap and Lani Groves. The song is a short poem but that does not mean it isn’t good. Personally I think the song is great for two ex lovers to get back together. Many things happened through out the year of 1972 including the release of You are the Sunshine in my life and the reelection of Richard Nixon. The tone and mood of the song is also has an impact on certain people who listen to it.
