Is striving for perfection as important and ideal as people set it to be? People often try to perfect their personal and professional lives to poetry the best version of themselves but others do not see it as the same, they see it as something not as important in their lives. As people work long hours at work and try to fix themselves up for the day every morning they tend to prioritize the meaningless things in life in comparison to more meaningful things that would not bring for fulfillment internally instead of trying to climb an infinite ladder that has to end to it. As seen in Frankenstein Victor Frankenstein tried to make a perfect creation of his own that would essentially haunt him for the rest of his life. This means that Victor's ultimate strive to create the "perfect creation” backfired on him as his so-called "brilliant idea” ends up killing most of his family leaving him lonely and on the constant run for his life. This is significant because it shows how Victor's strive for perfection affects him negatively and demonstrates the impossible accomplishment of the ideology of perfection. Lastly, another example of attempting to reach perfection leading to destruction is a person named Jocelyn Wildenstein. This means that as she attempted to look perfect and beautiful by getting plastic surgery and botox she ended up destroying her natural beauty. It is significant because eventually, it made her look hideous and horrendous as all that botox and surgeries made her appear as a cat since she had overdone it. Others may say that trying to strive for perfection will make them succeed instead of destroying themselves as they challenge themselves they will only improve themselves.
