A strong female “ The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins and “ Divergent “ by Veronica Roth, both films show that these two women have a strong female image. What is a strong woman? To me, a strong woman is someone who is secure in herself and willing to stand up for the values she believes in. She is prepared to make the hard choices; go down a path that has hardships or guaranteed and changed that which does not do justice or that cause harm. She is a leader, is wise, shows bravery, and mobilizes others to act.

Tris is the shown as a strong, independent and wise female. Unlike Katniss, Tris is someone who experiences herself as “different,” and is working hard to discover who she really is. The strength that Tris shows of being a dominant female are the ones to keeps on continues to fight no matter what. To figure out who she is and to show she was most done need to be categorized to something that she isn’t. “becoming fearless isn’t the point. That’s impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it” (Divergent). This show that a tris a braver female in her fear landscape, that bravery does not mean complete fearlessness. That it means learning not to let your fear control you and to become strong on the insides. In which Katniss and Tris have similar bravery. A strong female is a woman who shows selflessness by which Tris is seen like when her friend AL is criticized for being a bad knife thrower and volunteers herself to stand in for him when he was forced to stand where the target is and get knives thrown at him. We see that both Katniss and Tris show selflessness to protect and volunteers for someone they care about or for the justice that needs to be done. Powerful women can be seen as someone who stands up for what they believe is right, while both female characters show that they want to fight and will not stop to get the justice of what
