At the young age of six, a dark haired little boy was enjoying his times that he spent with his family. Together, they’d spend time visiting other family members in other parts of Wisconsin, as well as going to the zoo, parks, and much more. He was a very active child who loved playing sports to keep himself occupied. This young boy is someone that I would eventually meet and we have found aspects of our life’s to be similar, for example coming from a rough home situation in common along with our strong work ethic, and our thoughts and feelings. His name is Travis Korff. When Travis was six years old his parents, out of the blue, decided to get a divorce. It was heartbreaking for him to handle. Travis tried begging and pleading to his parents that he would be a better son. He said he would listen to his parents better and do as he was told. Understanding where we both came from made our understanding of each other a lot easier. We began to date after a few months of knowing each other. We never relied on each other for anything, except support. Being with Travis for some time I can see all the things that his father help guide and create. Travis was offered a finance manager position, after working at Dick Brantmeier for about three years, and he took the position. Then, after a short three months, and many hours put in for the week, he once again was offered another position, but this time it was for sale’s manager and he took that one as well. With his hard work ethics that he received from his dad, he earned himself a nice title position that he carries today. It has been a pleasure to call Travis my boyfriend. Being with him has help push me even more every day to become a better person. Knowing each other’s past and knowing what it feels like to have gone through the same life style makes being with each other a lot
