Mary Surratt was an innocent woman who was accused of helping John Wilkes Booth with the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. She got hanged for it, but the person who actually did do something to help John Wilkes, Dr Mudd, didn’t get hanged, he got life in prison.
Have you ever learned about a man/woman who changed history for ever? You may think of George Washington or Thomas Jefferson. There was a man named Vivian Thomas he was an african american man who did that exact same thing, changing history for african american people, while saving a unbelievable amount of babies. At the age of eleven years old Vivian Thomas was a hard worker as a carpenter saving up to go to medical school. The year 1930 Thomas graduated from high school, he planned on going to college.

Annis Stockton is from Darby Pennsylvania , she was born on July 1, 1776 , to Catherine Williams and Elias Boudinot. She is the oldest daughter and the second of 10 children. Her family later moved to princeton and Annis was opened to the intellectual area, and her parents gave her a very good education. She however became particularly interested in poetry, and published her first poem at age 16: ” To the Honorable Colonel Peter Schuyler, in the New-York Mercury and New American Magazine.”
Her mother didn’t become deaf until she was 13 months old. She had spinal meningitis and because of this she went deaf. She was getting shots for the meningitis, but after the fifth they decided to stop the shots and after they stop the relapse was what caused the deafness. It was very hard for Doris Jean because she was already starting to say some words. After the second fever, she went deaf and wouldn’t talk for years and when she did start talking, no one understood her.

Through some research, a nurse leader that I have come to admire and respect is Patricia R. Johnson, MN, RN. Johnson is Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. By possessing and using leadership skills, impacting others around her, and being a great team player are reasons why Johnson is successful as a nurse leader.
Thomas Pain was a true revolutionary and was one of the pioneers that fueled the fire known as the Revolutionary War. He was the creator of the pamphlet called, “Common Sense” and it as the name states was a simple to read pamphlet. This was not just an easily read piece of literature though, it was about how England behaved like a bad "parent," and that it was time to stand up and break free. The idea of a prosperous child parent relationship is that the parent helps the child grow to size and power and eventually the child becomes strong enough to leave the parent and goes out to prosper or fail on their own.
Susan B. Anthony (Susan Brownell Anthony) Susan B. Anthony was a prominent feminist author who started the movement of women’s suffrage and she was also the president of the National American Women Suffrage Association. Anthony was in favor of abolitionism as she was a fierce activist in the anti-slavery movement before the civil war. Susan Anthony was born on February 15, 1820, in Adams, Massachusetts, and before becoming a famous feminist figure, she worked as a teacher. Anthony grew up in a Quaker family that made her spend her time working on social causes. And her father was an owner of a local cotton mill.
During the time of the salem witch trials and the late 1980’s-1990’s during baseball's Steroid Era were two different things, but they also had one thing in common the hysteria that was brought by both of these. In the witch trials there were many of people dying and in baseball there was various amounts of people getting suspended and their chances at the hall of fame forever destroyed. Many of people know about the Salem Witch Trials as one of the most moments and years of hysteria. During this time there were many of people wrongly executed. During the 1950’s a man wrote a book called The Crucible.

In a world of constant fighting and terror everyone is in need of leaders that remind them of goodness. Jimmie Lee Jackson, John Lewis, and Barbara Jordan are leaders who fight for good through their determination for equality, beliefs in peace, and passion for justice. Jimmie Lee Jackson was a good leader because he was determined for equality.
For me, the storyline of a film is always paramount to my liking it or not. It can have the best actors in the world and be filled to overflowing with special effects, but if it doesn't have an engaging story, I lose interest pretty rapidly. With Hallmark, storylines are predictable but solid and sometimes touching. But I will admit that I rarely seek out the writer of the story unless it is an author I recognize or whose work I may be interested in reading at a later date. And when it comes to screenplays, the entire idea of penning them is a rather foreign concept to me.
