The Intuitionist written by Colson Whitehead (2000) has a protagonist character named Lila Mae who works as an elevator inspector. She is the type of individual that is independent, secure with her environment and takes pride in herself and the type of work she does. Suddenly, all of those aspects that she encompasses gets challenged when one of the elevators she inspected not too long ago crashes. From that point on she took that incident as an act of sabotage against her name and an act to discredit intuitionists. Whitehead (2000) takes readers on Lila Mae's journey trying to clear her name and through the process discover details on the founder of Intuitionism, James Fulton.
When reading Stereo Sue by Oliver Sack in 2006, I realized how important our vision is in multiple ways. The memory of a close friend that passed a few years ago continued to come to mind. My friend named Bill Vickery lost his vision after a surgery on his optic nerve where the nerve was beyond repair and completely damaged. Shortly after his surgery and the loss of sight be started to fall into depression and I was able to see he really needed some help.
In my geometric character analysis I analyzed Paul and Erik Fisher. Paul and Erik are brother that have a kind of broken relationship. Paul is the main character in the story while Erik seems to be praised by both his parent because of the “Erik Fisher football dream”. Erik seems to be always in the background causing mischief without the parents seeing it while Paul is just trying to get through 7th grade. I made Paul an octagon colored in light blue that fades into an orange.

Mark Character Analysis The quiet ones are the dangerous ones. That is the case when it comes to Mark Kinney, the mastermind behind the plot to kidnap Mr. Griffin. In the book Killing Mr. Griffin by Lois Duncan, Mark is a malicious, sullen and charismatic character.
The Cruelties of Silence Have you ever seen someone sitting alone in the school cafeteria during lunch, and wonder why that person was alone? Were they waiting for their friends? Were they new? Were they studying? None of these explanations were why Melinda, the main character of the novel Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson was sitting alone during lunch.
You Be The Judge: An Investigation of Facade in “The House of Seven Gables” Self-awareness allows one to understand their own flaws and shortcomings. The ability to assess one’s weaknesses in character allows for reflection introspectively, creating valuable realizations about one’s own identity. However, some members of society lack this innate ability, rendering them unable to understand their own corruption. In an excerpt of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s “The House of Seven Gables,” the narrator crafts the appearance of morality in Judge Pyncheon, constructing the illusion of respectability, then increasingly displays contempt of the dark reality that “some one wrong act” truly defines Pyncheon’s character.
Does the promise of adventure, treasure, and danger awaken desires you never knew you had? For Bilbo Baggins of Bagend, this rings true. J.R.R Tolkien's novel, The Hobbit, follows the adventures of Bilbo and Co. through the Hero’s Journey in the extraordinary world of Middle Earth. It was a beautiful spring day in the Shire, and Bilbo was in the middle of his second breakfast when a wizard showed up at his doorstep. Though he did not know it at the time, Bilbo was in for the adventure of a lifetime.
Cathy Ames has been criticized because she is completely evil. It has expressed throughout the novel that Cathy is inhuman. She has no emotion, no feelings, and no good in her. Many state that she is a symbol for Satan or a witch, who is pawn of Satan. People go so far in declaring that she is one of these evil spirits because even from birth she was filled with extreme evil and darkness, lacking characteristic that make up a human.
She controls all of the interactions of the family; everyone is dependent on her. When Walter starts skipping
Where the Wild Things are by Maurice Sendak is an interesting children’s picture book. The main character is a little boy named Max, who has a wild imagination. He uses all five senses as well as thought and his actions to express his personality as well as how he reacts and interacts with his surroundings. Max’s id, ego and super-ego are greatly shown in this book through the way that the author has portrayed him. Not only is this book a children’s story, but it can also be perceived as a life lesson.
Gabriella Montez’s primary stereotype is the “nerd.” The first time Gabriella is seen, she is reading a book. This is a common indication used throughout the film industry that leads viewers to make the assumption that the character in question is introverted and intelligent. When Gabriella transfers to a new school, it is made clear that she is in fact academically talented. She is referred to as a “freaky genius girl” and “an Einsteinette.”
Usually when a character is very demanding, the way they act towards others is rude and obnoxious. Blanche and Stanley do clash heads a lot, but they are both antithetical to those close to them. Blanche expects everyone to listen to her and sees herself as the center of attention. She wants everyone and everything to be all about her and the main thing she wants is to be desired. Blanche cannot really have what she wants because she changes her moods on everyone and so it causes people to treat her the opposite from how she wants to be treated.
