A Jury of Her Peers by Susan Glaspell begins and ends with a crime scene. What had occurred in the early hours of the day was that Minnie foster was being questioned by the police investigators to see if she knew anything about what had occurred to her husband. Her husband was found choked to death in their bedroom with a piece string. The police investigators were not able to puzzle the evidence found at the house together to produce a suspect. However, what did occur was that the women who were with the investigators were able come up with a reasonable argument as to what had occurred to the husband. The women piece together what was found in the home of Minnie Foster and what they concluded was that Minnie Foster might have been the one who committed the murder. She was married to her husband, Juan Villegas at a very young age. One day, Maria was craving honey due to her pregnancy. She found her way through the woods and onto Maria Rosa’s house, who was the lady who sold honey. What Maria Concepcion saw next was too horrific for her to see. She found her husband cheating on her with Maria Rosa. Maria Concepcion was so distraught from this infidelity that the husband committed, that she started changing attitudes. But by the end of the story, Maria Rose was found dead at her house. The police questioned everybody to see if they knew anybody who might have committed the murder. Everybody in town had some sort of reason to believe that Maria Conception was the one who murdered Maria Rosa. But what everybody in the village did, was that they told lies to the police investigator. The group told them that Maria Concepcion could not have committed this crime. That she was different and that Maria Rosa was the real enemy in the community. Since the group kept their opinions to themselves, the police investigators were not able to come up with a
