In scene one of Romeo and Juliet we identified that Sampson and Gregory are the Capulet’s servant, they are talking when suddenly Abram and the other servants of Montagues suddenly enter. The Capulet’s servants are going to fight with them when they change their mind. They wait for them to start the fight so they would not break the law. They said that if they bite their thumb and the Montague’s servant let them get away with it, it is an insult. And it causes them to fight Benvolio, a kinsman to Montague enters and draw his sword to stop the fight. Suddenly, Tybalt Capulet’s kinsman also draw his sword. Benvolio explained that he is just trying to stop the fight but Tybalt attack him. A group of citizens stop them then the Capulet and the Montague enter. Prince Escalus enter to command them to stop on penalty of torture. He said that the violence between the family are gone too long, he proclaimed a death sentence upon who disturbed the peace again. Capulet is walking with Paris, a noble kinsman of the Prince. They talk about Paris marrying Capulet’s daughter, Juliet. Capulet was happy, but he says that Juliet is too young so he asked for Paris to wait for two years. He invites Paris on a traditional masquerade feast that he is holding every year so that he might began to do something to Juliet to like him. Capulet ask Peter to began inviting people to the feast. As Capulet and Paris walk away, Peter thinks that he would have hard time accomplishing his task since he cannot read. On the other side, Romeo and Benvolio was still arguing about whether Rome could forget his love. Then suddenly Peter ask Romeo to read the list to him. Before leaving he invites Romeo, assuming that he was not Montague. Benvolio tells Romeo that the feast would be an opportunity to compare Rosaline with other woman.
