Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam, is one of the most historic places in the world. Hanoi has been through several battles and therefore, Vietnamese are those who understand war the best. But have you ever wondered what war is like from another country's perspective, such as Germany? Germany, evidently, is a region full of history. However, we know little about Germans. Are they just cruel soldiers who only want killing, or are they harmless souls that want merely love rather than war? The book "All Quiet on the Western Front" by German veteran, Erich Maria Remarque, will portray the actual view of German soldiers in World War One as well as the full brutality of wars. To begin with, "All quiet on the Western front" tells a story about a German soldier, Paullistened, who served in the First World War. As we read, we follow Paul on his journey on the Western front, all the battles he faced and all the peaceful moments he rarely had with his comrades.
