Morgan Parker engaged my attention as a audience member just be the title of her piece. Firstly, scanning it at its first glance, you would think there should be a question mark after black, well that is what I thought. I reread her title for three times, and that is when I came to a conclusion that Parker was not asking a question, Parker was making more of a statement. Of course, I should have known that, but I did not. In fact, Parker was attempting to do a more ‘how to’ title than a ‘how to?” Next, Parker starts off her piece with reminiscing a moment in her life where she was oblivious about her surroundings and how some people treat black people as a disease. There will always be that one behind a plastic computer screen, whose mission that day is to try and destroy someone’s self confidence and make them feel disgusted of themselves. I’ve seen this countless times on the internet and it’s not going to stop, and honestly I’m not sure how it could even be
