In James Gilbert’s book, A Cycle of Outrage - America’s Reaction to the Juvenile Delinquent in the 1950’s, he cites examples of why Americans were “puzzled and distressed by the activities of postwar teenagers.” In an excerpt from his book, he describes that the increased worry about the changing culture of American teenagers is partly due to the rise in technology during the 1950’s (12). Unlike in the past, teenagers were able to rapidly shift their speech, fashion, taste in music, and overall attitude in a uniform manner due to access to mass media. As technology was on the rise, so was the number of students attending high schools. () This, in turn, allowed for even more solidarity amongst the teenage population.

In the article of the Creek Indians, Christina Snyder portrays her thoughts on slavery and how Europeans, Natives, and African Americans all had their different point of view on slavery. Some traditions included holding captives then sending them free after their laboring was done. While others used captives as rewards or punishment because of the kinship system they tried to tie into slavery. Throughout the article Creek Indians went into rebellion with the Americans to fight for lands while starting new traditions into slavery mixing up political views and religious views all around the South.

Herman’s family got raided and killed and kidnapped his brother and him. Another raid was the Cathertons when they killed everyone in the house except the baby so Laura and her family questioned if it was Indians that did it. Laura’s family also got their house raided. These are examples of the things Native Americans did to get revenge on the Europeans and make their lives harder than it needed to be. With all of this being said about the Indians and their history and what they have been through this all connects back to Hill Country.
In “The Soft-hearted Sioux”, a Native American boy goes back home to his tribe after living at a mission school. The Sioux boy no longer connects with the people of the tribe or their culture because of his newfound belief in Christianity. As soon as he arrives, the Sioux boy finds that his father is ill. Because of his conversion to Christianity, the Sioux boy does not believe that the medicine man is healing his father and tries to guide the tribespeople away from their cultural beliefs. When the Sioux boy attempts to speak to his people about Christianity, the medicine man states, “What loyal son is he who, returning to his father’s people, wears a foreigner’s dress” (649)?

The Iroquois Constitution In the passage The Iroquois Constitution it is obvious that historical dilemmas would occur throughout the story and it talks about how this tribe was able to overcome it. In the passages that we read before it showed the Natives as being some sort of salvages or people who like to stir up trouble. Some may say that they had a very derogatory mood or way of living as well. When we look over this passage we see that the natives could have became pretty flagrant towards the viewing on their people, but we must also keep in mind that each tribe has their own beliefs and their own rituals.

But the inherent personality is the most critical fact of the sin. Dick was one of the murderers, he desired a better life but he failed twice. He thought money could bring him the life that he wanted with a deep certainty.
Anger is a common disease possessed by many humans. How people deal with anger is what makes them different. Some, the second they are confronted, act out violently. Some hold it in until they cannot possibly take anymore, then explode. Some, let other people act out for them.
We all have a moment that we are looking forward to that helps guide us through our life. This way of thinking is portrayed throughout the
Majority of time person doesn’t just get angry, it's built up anger that eventually explodes out of a person and causes them to do things they wouldn’t normally do. Also people do things based off of what they are used to. For instance the end of chapter four says, “ But in reality it is no more than an obvious and commonsensical extension of the Power of Context, because it says simply that children are powerfully shaped by their environment , that the features of our immediate social and physical world- the streets we walk down, the people we encounter - play a huge role in shaping who we are and how we act”(Gladwell 168). If we all changed as many of the negative things around and made them positive, the world would become a much better place.
When one is misled by others and be harmed, this will make this person angry. His anger could urge him to revenge and hurt who hurts him before (60). Harriet Goldhor-Lerner concludes that in her book: A Dance of Anger when she defined anger as: A signal… . It may be a message that we are being hurt, that our rights are being violated; that our needs or wants are being adequately met or simply that something is not right (1). On the other hand, Leonard Bekowitz claims that anger is that feeling that man faces when his desired goal is blocked.
Unexpected things happen, they just do. I mean, come on, no one just expects to die in a plane crash. Now I am going to just show you how unexpected it was, the day I died, starting from the moment I opened my eyes on July 29th, 2013. I woke up to the irritating, ear splitting sound of my new alarm clock. I always slept through the sounds of the other one.
