In Chapter Five, Bad Boy, Walter Myers explained that he became fascinated with baseball and baseball players. Walter had said that many street games were played outside on 122nd Street. He also said that his biological father, George Myers, had entered his life. Back in Chapter One, Roots, it said that his biological father had been divorced by his biological mother, Florence Dean. According to Walter, there had never been official paperwork to make his adoption legal.
Books express who the author is or who they want to be. They show the imagination and, sometimes, the difficulties of the author’s life. In Bad Boy, by Walter Dean Myers, the author shows the difficulties in his life and how he overcame those obstacles in the shape of a memoire. While I appreciate the truths about the world told in Bad Boy, and the uncensored quality while addressing racial issues, I am not too fond of this book. I definitely do not hate Bad
In chapter 9 of the novel, “Soldier Boys” by David Richards, Lashbrooke had called in a photographer, to take a picture of the first prisoner of war. Tom was called as he had a part in finding the prisoner and so was Lashbrooke as he was the “on site commander”. However, Corporal Snell and Sergeant Major weren’t invited, making Tom suspicious if they knew what was going on. Then, Capitan Lashbrooke sent Luc, alone down to Captain Fraser who was in the tent. Luc walks briskly past the Duty Officer’s tent towards where Marie was staying.
The book 5.41, Randy Turner and John Hacker, is a story of a great devastation that hit the town of Joplin, Missouri on the 22nd of May 2011, where humanity saw the destructive tornado that hit their town, and people lost a large number of townspeople. It was the place of a great amount of people who survived the most catastrophic tornado they had seen in their lifetime. The President of the United States, the Governor of Missouri, a Catholic priest and a Methodist minister gave speeches to the people of Joplin after the tornado was struck about a week later, and what did they need to hear from them that people of Joplin had to strive to help their neighbours b looking out to each other, they had to have faith in themselves that were strong

Chapter by chapter, another person's story is told, from the rape of Recy Taylor to the court case of Joan Little, while including the significance of Rosa Parks and various organizations in fighting for the victims of unjust brutality. The sole purpose of creating this novel was to discuss a topic no other historian has discussed before, because according to McGuire they have all been skipping over a topic that would change the view of the civil rights movement.

He encourages each of them to ‘’ Be themselves’’,’’ Tell their own story and they should write about what they want’’, and ‘’ Think small, don’t over think what you are writing about. ’’(Zinsser’s memoir pages 2,4,6) This advice tells beginner memoir writer to express who you are and say as much as you would like to say. The 1980s a time when tapes such as the one in the play did not lead to a life of fame and a reality TV show that kept up with your day-to-day life. School is in Washington DC and is a preparatory school for boys. Story begins when coach Shay stumbles across a very graphic sex tape and believes that the man in the video is one of his star football players. It is also deduced from the tape that the girl on the tape is unaware that she is being filmed.
