Written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa in 2009 the play Good Boys and True is a story about a sex tape scandal set in the fictional st. Joseph's High School back in the 1980s. The 1980s a time when tapes such as the one in the play did not lead to a life of fame and a reality TV show that kept up with your day-to-day life. School is in Washington DC and is a preparatory school for boys. Story begins when coach Shay stumbles across a very graphic sex tape and believes that the man in the video is one of his star football players. It is also deduced from the tape that the girl on the tape is unaware that she is being filmed. All of this is done in an effort to keep this quiet and get rid of it before it blows up and she hurt the boy's future. Elizabeth is shocked at the suggestion that her upstanding son Brian who is a golden boy and her eyes could even be I suspect in the matter. But when she confronts her son about the tape he denies being on it. Brandon is an American Teenager with a perfect looks a seemingly perfect life a girlfriend and the top spot on the football team. At first Brandon denies to his mother and his best friend Justin who has perform sexual favors for him in the past that he's on the tape. But when more types are found in the situation grows larger and the pressure is on Brandon he finally admits to his mother that he is on the tape. As as the story progresses the girl on the tape is found her name is Cheryl Moody. She sought out by Brandon's Mother Elizabeth where they have an intense conversation while Brandon's life starts to fall apart around him.
