In the story Monkeyman, Walter Dean Myers tells a story about someone named Monkeyman living in Harlem when he angered a posse of which called themselves the Tigros. The Tigros went on to hunt monkeys, even waiting outside his school until they met at a park that night, where the conflict was peacefully resolved. Myers demonstrates that having the courage to take risks will be very beneficial for the people able to suppress their fear. One way that monkeyman illustrates this is when after going to buy a soda found people trying to hurt his friend as shown when the narrator states he saw the girl trying to cut Peaches and he ran out and knocked the blade from the girls hand. Being on trial can be terrifying. However, being on trial for felony murder would be even worse and the weight on your shoulders would be prodigious. In the book Monster, by Walter Dean Myers, Steve Harmon, a sixteen-year-old black boy, is on trial for felony murder in the city of Harlem, New York. Steve is most likely innocent but in the grand scheme of things, that is not how it looks to be for Steve. It looks as if Steve will be spending his whole life behind bars.

Supporting this is evidence for his symptoms, one such being his love of order. “I have spent considerable time in setting this room to rights. Have I not done well? Order, Miss Doyle, is all… You see, it’s hard to tell the difference. Everything appears in order,” (Avi 190).
In Joss Whedon’s episode “Hush” of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer, he had to find a way to tell an entire story with very little dialogue. This technique is very hard to do and it takes someone with a very high skill level in order to be able to accomplish that. Sound is a very important component to any sort of moving visual. It allows for the plot to move forward, it enhances our senses, and it helps our brains to remind us of what is happening. Within this episode the characters discover just how instrumental sound is and learn what it’s really like to lose a part of that, by not being able to speak.
While working on the monster, Frankenstein knew his “silence disquieted [his family]...but could [he] could not [his] thoughts from [his] employment” (Frankenstein 41). His desire to complete the monster led him to ignoring his family even when he knew they cared greatly for him and were worried. The fame and glory he would of gained from creating the monster was too much for him to not dedicate himself to—even if it meant putting aside the ones who actually care about him. Walton on the other hand, treats his family is a different way. As far as the novel is concerned, Walton’s only known family member is his sister Margaret Saville.
Also he was the only child in the family and as well in his extended family and being the only child gave him a lot of confidence growing. Not only that but also since he was the only child in his entire family, the family expectations were higher. As he grew up he acquire the nick name of “Nino” witch was
I examined how various characters dealt with loss. I chose these texts to gain understanding on how characters lead themselves to acceptance and overcoming the loss. The texts I examined include; How could you leave us by NF(Nathan Feuerstein), American Sniper by Clint Eastwood, the episode Clear in The Walking Dead by Frank Darabont and Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Patterson. I expect that all of my texts will share similar approaches as characters deal with emotion after loss.
Another form of peer dominance can be attributed to individuals who are considered popular (Lightfoot, Cole & Cole, 2013, 481). Popular people, especially adolescents, are likeable, admired or caring (Lightfoot, Cole & Cole, 2013, 481). They are often the ones that others look up to or want to be like. These types of leaders do not coerce others to follow them, but inspire their peers to join them in particular behaviors. They are not as likely to become delinquents as are the dominant leaders who control by

Slaughterhouse-5: A tale of human war and Suffering Eternity of life is just an equivocal concept. Can a being live perpetually, even if not alive at this moment? This is just one philosophical point made by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. in his book “ Slaughterhouse-5”. Vonnegut, having experienced the calamity of the Dresden bombing wrote this book to concede suffering, and not to publicize or propagandize any kind of fallacy that this is an anti-war book.
