The justice system is not perfect and will probably never be but we as people should and will improve our justice system. Krone realizes a major problem in our justice system and will try to improve it because what happens to Krone and others can happen to anyone including me. Krone writes “I've learned that there are steps our nation can take to improve our death penalty system one important step will be for congress to pass the innocent protection act which would ensure that people who face the death penalty have greater access to the DNA from their cases”(156). The innocent protection act is Krone way to improve the system for all who could have gone through the same problems as him. Krone was an average American nothing more. Krone wants us the readers to know that he is a normal average American and he explains how. Krone writes “I'm not a prize winning columnist. or a politician. or head of any organization. I'm simply an average American”(155). This helps us understand that Krone is a normal person who's innocent and somehow still was convicted of murder. More than less anyone could be convinced of a crime of any and the only thing we the people can do is to improve the justice system so less people are wrongly
