His ways are not are ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts, but we are made in His image.” Russ Bush opens with these profound words that set the tone throughout the rest of the book. This is the essence of his thesis that God alone is in control of everything. Bush uses this to show that the real science is in what is observable, created by God.

He did a very good job of countering the naturalistic and advancement argument. Another interesting topic he engaged in was open theism; he did a thorough job of defining and debunking open theism. There were not many weaknesses that I could see in his book but if I were to point out one weakness that would be lack of compassion. Perhaps this is his straight forward style and his audience is academic in nature. What I noticed was the lack of concern for the the scientific community and those involved in the advancement movement. I thought what he had to say was excellent in having an answer for the origins of the universe. I would have loved to seen more practical knowledge on how someone can share the love of Christ to the Advancement community. The Advancement keeping the faith in an evolutionary age by L. Russ Bush was an excellent read and an a additional reference tool for anyone library to help fight the culture
