Other leaders were fighting for the British Oppression whereas Martin Luther King Jr. was fighting for the Civil rights along with social justice. Leaders during their nonviolence belief was to gain the goals with patience as well as noncooperation whereas Martin Luther King Jr. belief was to create creative kind of tension along with the degree of confrontation so that change can be highlighted in a best possible manner. By creating tension and confrontation, outcomes can vary and this can also affect the results too. This was the main reason why leaders were not in favor of creating tension and confrontation in order to achieve goals.
