Imagine having cerebral palsy and not being able to walk, talk, or even giving a simple wave. I am reading a book called Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper. It is about a girl that has cerebral palsy and she has a lot of ups and downs in her life. I think the theme of the book is stick up for your friends and here is why. First reason I think “stick up for your friends” is the theme because, Rose learns that being a good friend is something that is a good thing. When she was at music class and she was sitting in the back row of the classroom along with the rest of H-5.The music teacher invited them to sit closer to the front . A girl named Rose decided to be a kind person and sat by Melody because she knew that Claire was making fun of her and the rest of the H-5 classroom.
